New 'Dragon Ball Z' film announced for spring 2015

A new “Dragon Ball Z” animated feature film based on a screenplay by original manga series creator Akira Toriyama will hit Japanese cinemas during the Golden Week holiday period next year.
The story of the new film will follow “Battle of Gods,” meaning that a lot of action and well-crafted dialogue can be expected.
A teaser trailer, now available on the official website for the film, opens with a scene where a wish-granting dragon is summoned after the seven mysterious orbs known as Dragon Balls are gathered. Then the text appears, saying: “I’d like you to revive someone.”
The powerful dragon grants the wish, and another text reads: “The history’s worst battle. Despair begins now.”
More details about the story and the battle, as well as enemy characters, will be updated later.
The new project, which will be released from late April to early May, comes on the heels of “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods,” the first film adaptation of the “Dragon Ball” manga series in 17 years. The globally popular comic book series has sold more than 230 million copies worldwide.
The film raked in about 3 billion yen ($29.6 million) at the Japanese box office after it was released in March 2013.
Due to the renewed popularity, the 19th film adaptation was given a green light.
